Gift wrapping is available for every order, and each parcel ships in recycled cardboard packaging. Older kids move on to marble runs, building kits and pretend kitchens with tiny wooden vegetables. Teachers use our counting beads and shape sorters in classrooms across Ontario and Quebec. We finish the toys with water based paints and natural beeswax that are tested for child safety.
Why families choose wooden toys
We answer questions by email within one business day and are always happy to suggest an age appropriate gift. Wooden toys have been a favourite in family homes for generations because they are simple, sturdy and safe. Stacking blocks teach toddlers about gravity, while puzzles reward patience and careful observation. We recommend wiping the toys with a damp cloth and mild soap rather than soaking them in water.
- Solid maple and beech wood
- Child safe water based paints
- Made in Canada
Every piece is sanded by hand so that little fingers never meet a rough edge or a loose splinter. Many parents tell us that the same set of blocks has been passed down to younger cousins and neighbours. Caring for your toys
A small basket of well made toys often keeps a child busier than a crowded shelf of plastic gadgets. Our team tests each new design with local families before it ever appears in the online store.
